Discover Prehistoric Wildlife at the 2014 NWTF Convention and Sport Show

Sponsored by

Families, members and youth can enjoy the rare opportunity to discover prehistoric wildlife Feb. 14-16 during the 2014 NWTF National Convention and Sport Show at Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville. The Family Adventure Village is sponsored by Mossy Oak.

Junior paleontologists can explore the Bureau of Land Management’s interactive dinosaur exhibit featuring skulls from six new dinosaur species found at Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. One of the skulls (Utahceratops) is seven feet long and incorporated into a large self-directed dinosaur CSI-style crime scene exhibit where participants try to reconstruct the evidence found at an actual dig site. The exhibit also will feature two new T-rex-like animals, two new Triceratops-like animals, and a new species of giant hadrosaur named Gryposaurus monumentensis. Over the last 13 years, lands managed by the BLM have produced 20 new species of dinosaurs — more than all other public lands combined.
