Dates:Refer to Web site. Archery runs concurrent with deer archery seasons.Gun season is nine days in late October and early November.

Required if born on or after Jan. 1, 1980. Illinois does have an apprentice license program that can exempt hunter education for one year. See IDNR Web site for details (page 5 of 2008/2009 digest of hunting and trapping regulations).
