Idaho NWTF Donates Thanksgiving Turkeys
Members of the National Wild Turkey Federation provided 30 frozen turkeys to needy families in the area for the All-American Thanksgiving meal.
The turkeys were presented to National Honor Society students at Capital High School who use them in conjunction with the school's canned food drive. Additional turkeys went to similar programs at Cole Elementary School and the Emmett senior center.
Nationally, the NWTF promotes the giveaways under their "Turkey Hunters Care" program. The local donations were made by the Idaho State NWTF organization, Boise's Gem State Chapter NWTF and Idaho Women in the Outdoors.
