Latest Land Purchase Adds 110 Acres
FAIRVIEW, S.D.--The NWTF's South Dakota State Chapter recently helped purchase 110 acres in southeastern South Dakota. The chapter has helped the South Dakota Department of Game, Fish and Parks buy eight different parcels of land, totaling 4,450 acres, valued at $1.7 million.
The most recent acquisition has excellent turkey habitat and is adjacent to the 456 acre Oak Ridge property, purchased by the Department of Game, Fish and Parks years ago. The two properties are along the Sioux River in Lincoln County and hold a significant turkey population. --Craig Broughton
