Wick Named Best Volunteer
PIERRE, S.D.--For the first time ever, the South Dakota State Chapter has awarded Ted Wick as the South Dakota Volunteer of the Year. South Dakota State Chapter President Bill Eubank, presented Wick with the award at the state chapter awards banquet. Wick is a member of the Fall River Chapter, a group that has for nine years seen growth in memberships, sponsors, and habitat projects, JAKES events and revenue contributions. These successes have truly made Wick a top chapter leader in South Dakota.
Wick also sponsors an ongoing JAKES event in conjunction with school systems in the Hot Springs, S.D. Every fifth grader in the area gets a day away from the classroom to attend the JAKES event. The schools have welcomed the NWTF JAKES event as part of the fifth grade education process. Wick's continuing dedication to the NWTF Fall River Chapter and the wild turkey made him the best choice for this award.
