WELCOME TO IOWA'S NWTF STATE CHAPTER,

From The President’s Roost

Let me first of all wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year. 2012 has been a year of change and challenges in our state but I’m sure that we will come through this stronger and better than ever and ready to advance our goals of conservation and the promotion of our hunting heritage.

I want to invite every member of the NWTF to attend our 7th annual awards banquet on January 12th at the Best Western Longbranch in Cedar Rapids, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Come and check out the 2013 core package as we enjoy a fantastic meal and recognize all of the top chapters and volunteers from our banquets in 2012. Not only will you be able to see the core package first hand, several raffle packages will be available that will allow you to win all of the items in the package. Cost of the meal ticket is only $25 for adults and $15 for children. We have reserved a block of rooms at the Best Western, which can be reserved at a reduced rate by calling 319-377-6386.

We are also looking for volunteers to serve on our state board. We still have three vacancies for a three-year term so if you’re interested just give me a call or send me an email message. The board meets quarterly and decides how we spend our super fund dollars and also makes other policy decisions affecting the NWTF within the state of Iowa.

Once again I want to thank all of the volunteers for their dedication and hard work throughout the year. 2013 represents a milestone in the NWTF as we celebrate 40 years of conservation. Let’s all strive to make it our best year ever!

As always if you have any questions or comments feel free to contact me any time.
