This year, one teacher will receive more than a shiny apple for their hard work in the classroom.

The NWTF is continuing its Conservation Educator of the Year Award program to recognize educators who demonstrate the most innovative use of the Wild About Turkey Education Box and also demonstrate a commitment to teaching conservation education in the classroom. The winner will receive recognition and a grant to fund a conservation education project the following school year. The winner receives a trip to our national convention to be recognized at the Sunday breakfast in addition to a plaque and a $500 grant to fund a conservation education project in his or her classroom the following year. All applications must be postmarked by June 1, and the winner will be notified the beginning of August.
