2013 Winner–Elizabeth Renner |
If you are headed off to college anytime soon your mailbox is probably overloaded with slick covered brochures and pamphlets touting the accomplishments of universities far and wide. It wasn't too long ago that I was sitting in the floor surrounded by college materials, feeling overwhelmed. Not only is it one of the most important decisions you'll ever make (no pressure!) the cost associated with going to college can cause a lot of anxiety for you and your parents.
Did you know that the NWTF can help? We have given away over 3 million dollars in scholarships to help the next generation of conservation leaders continue their education. More than $500,000 in scholarships is available to high school seniors each year.
Applicants for the scholarship must be members of the NWTF and are judged on their scholastic achievements, leadership abilities, community involvement and commitment to conservation and the preservation of our hunting heritage.
The application deadline is January 1. For more information on the scholarship program, contact the scholarship coordinator at the Wild Turkey Center by calling (800) THE-NWTF or emailing scholarshipinfo@nwtf.net.
