Start an event
The spirit of conservation and the hunting tradition have been passed from one generation to another in this country for centuries. NWTF JAKES events help keep that legacy alive by continuing to educate new audiences.
NWTF chapters host events with school groups, FFA classes, Boy Scout and Girl Scout groups, churches, clubs — nearly any group you can think of.
How to get involved?
It's easy to start planning a JAKES event.
- First, identify a local chapter to host the event because all JAKES events must be linked to an NWTF chapter. If you have trouble identifying your local chapter, contact an NWTF regional director in your state or Delilah Hallman at dhallman@nwtf.net or (803) 637-7402.
- Next, visit our Outreach Manual page where you'll find a step-by-step planning guide.
- Then contact Mandy Harling, our national JAKES coordinator, at mharling@nwtf.net or (803) 637-7550.
With help from your community, you can plan an event that will be fun, exciting and educational for everyone involved.
