The National Wild Turkey Federation recognized some outstanding young artists during its 32st Annual Convention and Sport Show in Atlanta, GA.
The NWTF Youth Art Contest offered chances at $100, a free, one-year JAKES membership and a JAKES T-shirt to artists ages 6-17 who submitted a piece of art work to the contest. The subject of the submissions: wild turkeys and turkey hunting. JAKES stands for Juniors Acquiring Knowledge, Ethics and Sportsmanship.
A panel of five judges reviewed the submissions and awarded first place through third place to outstanding work in four age groups: ages 6-8, ages 9-11, ages 12-14 and ages 15-17. This years winners are:

A new black and white division was created for 2008. The winners are:
