NWTF Showcased at NASCAR's Pepsi 400 Thanks to Bass Pro Shops Donation
Martin Truex Jr., one of the hottest NASCAR drivers on the circuit today, will be driving the DEI, Bass Pro Shops No. 1 Chevrolet car, showcasing the National Wild Turkey Federation's logo during the Pepsi 400 at the Daytona International Speedway, July 7.
The sponsorship is a donation to the NWTF from John L. Morris and Bass Pro Shops and is part of the Conservation Fund's "Racing for America's Wildlife" program. The program is designed to engage the NASCAR community in upholding America's hunting and fishing heritage.

The NWTF is a nonprofit organization with 584,000 members in 50 states and 16 foreign countries. It supports scientific wildlife management on public, private and corporate lands as well as wild turkey hunting as a traditional North American sport. Since 1985, the NWTF and its cooperators have spent more than $230 million upholding hunting traditions and conserving more than 11.3 million acres of wildlife habitat.
"We're very proud to partner with the NWTF and their work in conservation, helping special needs hunters, getting women involved in the outdoors and youth education," said Bass Pro Shops founder John L. Morris. "This is our way of thanking the NWTF and their thousands of grassroots volunteers, who are also NASCAR fans, for all they do."
Bass Pro Shops is a dedicated supporter of the NWTF's Women in the Outdoors, JAKES and Wheelin' Sportsmen programs. They also sponsor limited-edition bronzes for every NWTF banquet across America to help raise money for the Hunting Heritage Super Fund.
The car was presented to the NWTF during the Federation's 2007 National Convention and Sport Show.
