NWTF Offers Ladies-Only Event with Brenda Valentine
Morton, Miss.— If you're a woman looking for a relaxing weekend getaway and want to enjoy Mississippi's beautiful fall woods, don't miss the National Wild Turkey Federation's (NWTF) Women in the Outdoors Statewide Retreat, Oct. 30 to Nov. 1, in Morton, Miss.

Joining participants as a guest speaker will be television personality and NWTF National Spokesperson, Brenda Valentine.
"The Women in the Outdoors outreach program gives ladies of all ages and backgrounds the chance to drop everything, relax and enjoy the outdoors," said Abby Coffman, event coordinator. "At events nationwide, the program provides friendly instructors in a stress-free environment that proves to be a great place to make new friends and have fun outside."
The weekend will feature many exciting seminars and activities including archery, canoeing, self-defense training, health and fitness, fishing, wildlife photography, hunting tips and tactics, crafts and more.
The event will take place at Roosevelt State Park, just outside of Jackson, Miss., and within easy driving distance of Birmingham, Mobile and Montgomery, Ala., New Orleans and Baton Rouge, La. Registration costs $125 and includes all weekend events and instruction, meals, two nights lodging, membership in the Women in the Outdoors outreach program and a one-year subscription to Turkey Country magazine.
Founded in 1973, the NWTF is dedicated to the conservation of the wild turkey and the preservation of the hunting heritage. The NWTF has thousands of local chapters in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
