Toledo Area to Welcome The First Lady... of Hunting

HOLLAND, OHIO— Brenda Valentine's outdoor journey began in Tennessee and has taken her to the plains of Africa, the glaciers of Alaska and many places in between. Her exploits along the way earned her the title, The First Lady of Hunting.

NWTF National Spokesperson, Brenda Valentine will be in Holland, Ohio, on March 17 for the NWTF's Maumee Valley Chapter Banquet.

On March 19, she'll be in Holland, Ohio, at the National Wild Turkey Federation's Maumee Valley Chapter banquet and tickets are going fast! Doors open at 5:30 p.m., at the Holland Gardens Banquet Hall, located at 6530 Angola Road. The event will feature a meet and greet with Valentine at 5:30, and following dinner at 7:30, there will be a live auction where attendees can bid on guns, wildlife art, trophy deer and turkey hunts and more.

The dollars raised throughout the evening are directly contributed to the NWTF's Hunting Heritage Super Fund, the lifeblood of the Federation's mission. The Super Fund is used to fund conservation projects and outreach events in Ohio and is dependant on successful local fundraisers like the one coming up in Holland.

Single tickets cost $55, couples cost $80 and sponsor tickets cost $260. All tickets include entry into all door prizes, dinner, an NWTF membership and a one-year subscription to Turkey Country magazine.

As an NWTF National Spokesperson, host of "Turkey Call" on the Pursuit Channel and co-host of Bass Pro Shops' "Real Hunting TV" on the Versus network, Valentine travels the country proclaiming her love for the outdoors and support of the NWTF.

"The best part about being an NWTF member is that the Federation has something for everyone. Male or female, young or old, it's rewarding to be a steward of North America's wildlife and habitat and that's what the NWTF is all about," said Valentine. "Everyone who attends the NWTF's Maumee Valley Chapter banquet is in for a great time. The volunteers and staff at the NWTF work hard to ensure that men, women and youth not only have a blast at events nationwide, but also understand that money raised at NWTF banquets leaves a lasting impression on the NWTF's conservation efforts."

Through dynamic partnerships with state, federal and provincial wildlife agencies, the NWTF and its volunteers have helped restore wild turkey populations across the country, raised and spent more than $306 million, and conserved nearly 14 million acres of habitat for all types of wildlife.

The Federation also works to increase interest in the outdoors by bringing new hunters and conservationists into the fold through special outdoor education events and its Women in the Outdoors, Wheelin' Sportsmen, JAKES (Juniors Acquiring Knowledge, Ethics and Sportsmanship) and Xtreme JAKES outreach programs.
