NWTF Offers Free Hunters' Education Class
EDGEFIELD, S.C. -- The NWTF is offering a free hunters' education class at the Wild Turkey Center in Edgefield Sept. 20 through Sept. 22. It will be held from 5 − 8 p.m., each night.
South Carolina residents born after June 30, 1979, must successfully complete a South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) approved hunter education course to buy a hunting license.
"With deer season just around the corner, the NWTF chose to provide the free hunters' education course as another way to thank the community and our members for their support. We encourage everyone to sign up for the class and make plans to go afield this fall," said Tom Hughes, NWTF assistant vice president of education and outreach programs.
Pre-registration is required through the SCDNR's website at http://www.dnr.sc.gov/education/hunted.html.
The NWTF has certified hunter education instructors on staff and sells South Carolina hunting licenses at Turkey Shoppe on Main in historic downtown Edgefield, S.C.
