Welcome Fall with a Classic New England Hunt
Are you tired of sweltering summer heat? Do you dream of crisp fall mornings, fallen leaves crunching under foot, shotgun readied, as your dogs chase a scent?
If so, the first NWTF Covered Bridge Upland Hunt at Weatherby's Resort in Grand Lake Station, Maine, is for you. Join Robb Cotiaux, professional hunting guide and NWTF Maine State Chapter president, for a classic New England grouse and woodcock hunt in some of the Northeast's best coverts.
Cotiaux is generously donating his time and guide services for this inaugural hunt to raise money for the newly formed NWTF Covered Bridge Upland Chapter. The chapter will receive 15 percent of the proceeds from the hunt to fund habitat management projects in Maine.
Weatherby's Resort sits on the edge of more than 1 million acres of forested land with miles of gravel roads that provide access to a sportsman's paradise. The package includes two days afield and a three-night stay in an upscale lodge from Oct. 20-22.
All packages include lodging and meals, and guided hunt prices include guide fees. Hunting licenses and shells are not included. Packages start at $671 per gun for an unguided hunt and cost $1,533 per gun for a guide with trained bird dogs. Bring a buddy and sign up for the two-gun, guided hunt for only $2,203.
