NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. — More than 90 golfers hit the links at Mount Vintage Plantation in North Augusta, S.C., for the National Wild Turkey Federation's 12th annual Conservation Cup golf tournament.
Proceeds from the Conservation Cup benefited Wheelin' Sportsmen NWTF, an outreach program that delivers — and in some cases re-introduces — the beauty and excitement of the outdoors to thousands of disabled people.
"The Conservation Cup was once again a great success," said Rhett Simmons, NWTF director of special events. "Mount Vintage Plantation was absolutely beautiful, the weather was perfect, and the participants enjoyed a day of golf and fellowship while also contributing to a worthy cause."
Wheelin' Sportsmen NWTF provides all people with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors through local chapter events nationwide. Whether it is shooting, hunting, fishing or archery, there is no limit to the outdoor opportunities Wheelin' Sportsmen NWTF can bring to a person with disabilities who is eager to get outside and participate in an active lifestyle.
The NWTF appreciates the support from the teams who participated and the sponsors who make the Conservation Cup happen each year.
