Win an Osceola Turkey Hunt in Video Contest
EDGEFIELD, S.C. —The NWTF will send one lucky conservationist and hunter on an all-expenses-paid, Osceola turkey hunt.
The once-in-a-lifetime hunt is the prize for the winner of the 2011 NWTF Video Contest, the theme of which is "Hunters: Champions of Conservation." Entrants who support conservation as a hunter are eligible to win the three-day trip to the Rafter T Ranch in Sebring, Fla., plus a CZ-USA Upland Ultralight 12-gauge shotgun and a gear package from Bass Pro Shops.
"We've got a great reward for the winning video that shows a passion for conservation," said NWTF public relations and web director Brent Lawrence. "We're looking for a video with a strong message - not fancy production."
The video entries, between one and two minutes in length, should cover how the contestant supports conservation by being a hunter. Submissions cannot be entirely hunting video.
Entry submission is simple. Contestants should upload their video to www.Facebook.com/theNWTF or YouTube. Videos must be accompanied by the entrant's name and have "NWTF Video Contest" in the title. Entrants must email Melanie Swearingen firstname.lastname@example.org with contact information and the URL of the video, if it's posted on YouTube. Videos must be posted and email notification sent by Nov. 30, 2011.
Entrants can also mail videos to: NWTF Contest, c/o Melanie Swearingen, 770 Augusta Road, Edgefield, SC 29824. They must be received by Nov. 30, 2011.
NWTF staff and volunteers will review the videos and select up to 10 finalists to be reposted on www.Facebook.com/theNWTF. The finalist video that receives the most "Likes" by 10 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time) on Dec. 12 will be declared the winner.
Contestants must be current NWTF members and at least 18 years old. To win, videos must show legal, safe and ethical hunting practices. For full contest rules, see: VideoContest
