NWTF Grand National Calling Championships

The Grand National Calling Championships are a major attraction -- even more so this year. The Senior Open Finals is going through a huge makeover, where judges will no longer be hidden from the callers and will give feedback in response to each performance. Don't miss this game-changer of an event.

Callers of all ages compete for more than $25,000 in cash and prizes in eight divisions. The best callers in the world use natural voices, latex mouth calls, pot and peg friction calls, box calls, owl hooting tubes and more to yelp, cluck, putt, gobble and hoot their way to the top spot on stage.

"Winning a title at the NWTF Grand National Calling Championships is like reaching the summit of a mountain. There is no higher place among the turkey calling's elite," said George Thornton, NWTF CEO. "The atmosphere in the room during the trophy presentation is electric. Raising the first-place trophy at these contests means that you have beaten the best callers in the world."

2014 Decorative Turkey Call Best of Show

The NWTF's Grand National Callmaking Competition is the premier competition of its kind in North America. A panel of experts in the fields of callmaking, calling and hunting evaluate entries and present more than 80 awards. After the calls are judged, calls are auctioned at the convention during the 12th Annual Premier Grand National Custom Call Live Auction Registration, Reception and Awards. Registration and awards presentation begins at 9 am and the auction begins at 10 am. All other calls are sold at the silent auction.

Absentee bid form - Call makers and call buyers who are unable to attend the Call Auction or are concerned that their call(s) may sell for less than market value are encouraged to use the absentee bid form. If a call maker uses the Absentee Bid Form, the value of the absentee bid will be the starting value placed on the call. In the event that the call does not get a bid higher than the absentee bid, the call maker will be purchasing the call back at that price. Keep in mind that if you have not opted for 100% donation, fifty percent (50%) of your maximum bid money is returned if you are the high bidder.

"In Kind Gift" form - This form allows call makers to receive membership credit for donations at the NWTF Convention and Sport Show.
