Winners' Circle

Windy conditions and southern hospitality greeted the world's best target shooters as they gathered at the Wild Turkey Center for a weekend of closely matched but friendly competition during the 20th annual World Wild Turkey Still Target Championships.

Bobby Sears

Hazelhurst, Ga.

Bobby Sears came up a big winner when he put a turkey choke tube created by his friend Jimmy Washam to the ultimate test. Using the JEB's Precision choke tube, the Georgia native won the Hunter Division in his first-ever shooting competition.

Steve Conover

Jamestown, Ky.

Steve Conover's skill and experience helped him successfully defend his title in the 12-gauge Open Division. Conover claimed his ninth overall world championship and his fourth career victory in the 12-gauge Open Division. He also owns titles in the 20-gauge Open and Hunter divisions.

Doris Bush

Carbondale, Ill.

Doris Bush rallied under difficult, windy conditions to win a shoot-off and claim the Ladies Division. Bush claimed her third career world title in the Ladies Division after the two other finalists each won a round before she rallied to win the third round and the decisive shoot-off.

Caleb Gilreath

Taylorsville, N.C.

Caleb Gilreath's steady aim and intense focus paid off when he was crowned champion in the JAKES 20-gauge Division. The 11-year-old Gilreath won in his first-ever world championship while competing against fellow youth shooters.

Karie Scott

Oakdale, Tenn.

Karie Scott overcame a strong field of competition, including her mentor Steve Conover, to win the 20-gauge Open Division.

Scott claimed her third career world championship at the event. Her previous two were in the Ladies Division. The finalists included Conover, who taught Scott how to shoot.

Brian Sloan

Statesville, N.C.

Brian Sloan's skill and experience helped him add another world shooting title to his impressive resume when he was crowned champion in the Black Powder Division.

The first to win all four of the adult divisions in the annual competition, Sloan won his ninth overall world title. He also has coached six of the past eight JAKES youth champions at the event, including this year's winner, Caleb Gilreath.
