NWTF Guide to Digital File Submission

We always look forward to reviewing photos of our members enjoying themselves in whatever sport they like, whether in the woods, on the water or simply unwinding in the outdoors. Those snapshots help us communicate to others that disabled individuals are truly welcome in the wild.

Both print and digital submissions are accepted. If you prefer to send digital photos, follow these guidelines:

  • The image should either be a JPG or TIF file with as little compression as possible.
  • Resolution should be at least 300 pixels (dots) per inch, or 900 pixels by 1,500 pixels for a 3-inch by 5-inch image. The higher the resolution, the better.
  • Some cameras have a "quality" setting, which should be adjusted to the highest level.

Always try to identify the person(s) in the photo. It's also helpful to know where he or she is from. And if the person harvested an animal, it's good to know when the kill was made and whether it was his or her first. Of course, not every photo has to be of someone hunting. Pictures of people fishing, breaking clays or trying for a bull's eye are welcome. Almost any photo of someone enjoying the outdoors has a chance of being published.
