Week of March 15: Montana Volunteers Hunt
Welcome to "Turkey Call." We've got a great show for you this week. We're back in "Big Sky Country" where our volunteers get to try their hand at taking a Merriam's gobbler. We have volunteers Jim Nyce, Jim Oates and David Hamm all on hunts in the beautiful state of Montana.
Week of March 8: Champion in Big Sky Country
We've got a great show for you this week. We're back in Montana where NWTF's Rhett Simmons is teaming up with 2009 Grand National Turkey Calling Champion Jim Pollard. Jim's wife, Trish, has also tagged along for the hunt as she hoes after her first turkey ever. We'll see if Jim's champion calling can do the trick on these Merriam gobblers.
Week of March 1: Turkeys in the Hood
Welcome to "Turkey Call." This week we're in Montana where the NWTF hosts their annual volunteer hunt. It's where the Regional Directors get a chance to take one of their top volunteers each year as a reward for all they do for the NWTF.
Week of February 22: Missouri Youth Hunt
This week we are headed to the "Show-Me" state of Missouri where the Twin Lakes Long Spurs Chapter of the NWTF is hosting their annual youth hunt. This is a huge event with over 150 kids. Jerry Martin will be guiding and calling for JAKES member Caden Jett on the first hunt, then we get to see Conner Jett take his first turkey.
Week of February 15: Low Country Ladies
This week on "Turkey Call," NWTF volunteers Jeff and Lynn Montjoy, Pat Wooley, Bobby Mead and Sharon Boney will be hunting in South Carolina after those eastern gobblers. It's early season and the gobblers are henned up, so let's see if these lady hunters has what it takes to get an Ole longbeard.
Week of February 8: Tennessee Dream Hunt
This week on "Turkey Call," NWTF's spokesperson Brenda Valentine, is hunting in her home state of Tennessee with Pat Lucas on her very first turkey hunt. Pat bid on and won this hunt at the 2009 NWTF Convention and Sport Show at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tenn. Let's see if Pat can take her first turkey ever. Then we'll take a look at the Virginia State Chapter's JAKES event.
Week of February 1: Huntin' with the Pounders
This week on "Turkey Call," twin brothers Jeff and Joel Pounders we be chasing some stubborn ole Alabama gobblers on their property near Russellville. They're going to show you that wildlife management and preseason scouting pays off, but turkey hunting isn't always easy. We'll see if Jeff and Joel has what it takes to tag a big Alabama longbeard. You don't want to miss it.
