to attend an event? |

National Wild Turkey Federation's Women in the Outdoors program. |

May I bring my daughter or niece to an event? |

Do I have to know anything about the outdoors or be in good shape
to attend an event? |
| |
There is something at a Women in the Outdoors event for everyone.
Although you don't have to be a fitness buff to attend one of our events, we ask
that you consider your physical limits before you sign up for a specific class.
But you definitely don't have to know anything about the outdoors to participate.
Learning new outdoor skills is part of the fun of a Women in the Outdoors event. |
| |
|
 |
Do I have to be a hunter to attend a Women in the Outdoors event? |
| |
No, our goal is to introduce women to various outdoor activities,
including hunting. If you are interested in learning more about a particular activity,
tell your local event coordinator. She will do her best to include that course
at her next event. |
| |
|
 |
If I feel uncomfortable participating in a class, do I have to
finish? |
| |
Absolutely not. We are here to help you better understand
outdoor activities you may have never tried. If feel uncomfortable during a class,
the event coordinator or an event committee member will find another class for
you. |
| |
|

What does hosting a Women in the Outdoors event involve? |
| |
A Women in the Outdoors event provides hands-on educational
outdoor classes for women, with the purpose of introducing them to new outdoor
experiences. We encourage event coordinators to offer at least three different
outdoor sessions. Classes should be geared toward the interests of women in your
community. To find about hosting a Women in the Outdoors event, contact the women's
regional coordinator for your area. To download the Women in the Outdoors
manual on how to host an event, click
