EDGEFIELD, S.C. – The National Wild Turkey Federation recently partnered with CarbonTV to stream episodes of its television shows to reach the growing segment of outdoorsmen and women turning to the Internet in their search for outdoor entertainment programming.
“Not all of our members have the opportunity to watch our outdoor programming that offers both educational and entertainment elements,” said George Thornton, NWTF CEO. “We understand that we live in a day and age where people want their entertainment to be simple and readily accessible, and our partnership with CarbonTV makes that possible.”
Individuals can now sign up for a free account: Access the NWTF network page on CarbonTV and begin watching 2015 episodes of “NWTF 365” and “Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt.” Episodes of the ever-popular “Turkey Call” will land online later this year.
“NWTF 365” focuses on the major impact of the NWTF’s conservation initiative and optimizing habitat for not only wild turkeys, but for the wide array of big and small game alike.
“Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt.” features NWTF biologists and staff focusing on working with viewers to optimize their property for wildlife. NWTF experts provide habitat management and hunting tips that will improve land quality and hunting success.
“We’re excited to provide National Wild Turkey Federation members with broad digital access to this quality content,” said Hyaat Chaudhary, CEO of Carbon Media Group. “CarbonTV enables premium content creators, such as NWTF, to take full advantage of today’s digital distribution opportunities, and ensure that their fans can stream great outdoor content for free, 24/7, from any device."
About the NWTF
The NWTF is a nonprofit conservation organization that works daily to further its mission of conserving the wild turkey and preserving our hunting heritage. Through dynamic partnerships with state and federal wildlife agencies, the NWTF and its members have helped restore wild turkey populations across the country, improving more than 17 million acres of wildlife habitat and introducing 100,000 people to the outdoors each year. The NWTF was founded in 1973 and is headquartered in Edgefield, S.C. According to many state and federal agencies, the restoration of the wild turkey is arguably the greatest conservation success story in North America’s wildlife history.
