NWTF helping to maintain habitat fencing in Arizona

The NWTF Arizona State Chapter Super Fund provided $500 to maintain habitat fencing in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest in Eagar and Springerville, Arizona.

The project will perform maintenance on four existing fences installed in 2003 for the protection of wet meadow habitats on the Springerville District of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest.

Maintenance on four exclosure fences will benefit Merriam’s wild turkey, Neotropical migratory birds and vegetation.

Partners include Honeywell International Inc. Arizona Game and Fish Department, USDA Forest Service and the Arizona NWTF State Chapter.
