Overview: A 750-acre project to regenerate oaks on the Whitewater WMA and Doer Forest. Work includes removal of select trees, herbicide treatments and tree planting.

Description of work:

  • Improve timber stands by removal of select trees
  • Treat undesirable woody stems with herbicides
  • Plant native oaks

Species targeted: wild turkey
