2021 Fall Hunt Guide

Use the Fall Hunt Guide to plan your next outdoor escape, but also review your state’s hunting regulations thoroughly for specific details before taking in all that our natural resources have to offer.

August 31, 202113 min read

The Fall Hunt Guide provides you with each state’s fall wild turkey hunting season dates, bag limits and more, while also offering a glimpse of what the spring harvest data and wild turkey hunting license sales* (where available) looked like in your state. After a spring of near normalcy, most of the country returned to its routines after more than a year of instability, and that was reflected in wild turkey hunting as well. After an influx of hunters hit the turkey woods in the spring of 2020 during a national pandemic, turkey harvest data was up about 10% across the board from 2019 to ‘20. In 2021, early indications are that wild turkey hunter numbers and turkey harvests decreased in many states after the previous year’s overall increase. State wildlife agencies and the NWTF continue to work together to identify and impact areas in need of improved wild turkey habitat, while funding research and conservation work as needed.

Use the Fall Hunt Guide to plan your next outdoor escape, but also review your state’s hunting regulations thoroughly for specific details before taking in all that our natural resources have to offer.
