In 2023, the NWTF will be celebrating its 50th anniversary. The year will be marked with many special events and celebrations across the country. It will be an exciting time in our history. But we must also look ahead to the many challenges and opportunities we will encounter in the second half of our first century.

The NWTF’s Tenth Legion supporters will be vital to the NWTF mission in the coming years. The Tenth Legion is a select level of membership, reserved for NWTF volunteers who gift $10,000 annually – given cumulatively during the year or in a single gift. These donors understand the importance of wildlife funding for the future of wild turkeys and their overall ecosystem. Tenth Legion members help fill that need.

Aside from assuring you are helping to leave a legacy for conservation and hunting heritage for generations to come, Tenth Legion members will also receive a special-edition signed copy of the Tenth Legion by Col. Tom Kelly. In addition, members will receive recognition in the NWTF’s annual report, a handcrafted Tenth Legion pin and an invitation to a special event at the National Convention and Sport Show in Nashville, Tennessee, with our CEO and the president of the National Board of Directors. Tenth Legion members will also receive an invitation to attend exclusive Tenth Legion membership events.

"We are very passionate about conserving our hunting heritage. We live to hunt, and, like most hunters, we are conservationists. We strongly believe in the mission of the NWTF and are proud to be a part of the leading conservation organization. Our hope is that the Tenth Legion can help to further communications about the NWTF and our mission, and enlighten more people that we’re not just about turkeys but a premier conservation organization."

“Our Tenth Legion members provided the NWTF with strength and fortitude during the most difficult year in the organization’s history,” NWTF CEO Becky Humphries said. “I cannot thank you enough for all you’ve done and all you continue to do for this incredible organization. I look forward to gathering with our Tenth Legion membership soon and discussing the bright future of the NWTF.”

The NWTF’s mission to conserve habitat for the wild turkey and preserve our hunting heritage will always be our focus, our “singleness of purpose” that drives all the decisions we make. We will continue to look for opportunities and partnerships to evolve our messaging and expand our reach. The NWTF is a volunteer-led organization, and our Tenth Legion members are the leaders of our organization. With the support and guidance provided by these dedicated individuals, we are confident in the future of the NWTF.
