The S2 comes in both 12- and 20-gauge options, as well as an option between 24- and 28-inch barrels for each gauge and multiple finishes depending on the gauge of the gun — camo patterns, black synthetic or a chromate black receiver with wood furniture.
We specifically spent some time with the 20-gauge, 24-inch barrel S2 on the trap and skeet range and later transitioned to still shooting it, patterning for turkeys.
The shotgun features the Benelli-Mobil choke system, and multiple chokes are included, specifically, improved, modified, full and an extended modified choke.
The chokes felt thin and were not labeled to whether they are TSS compatible. I would highly suggest getting an aftermarket choke specifically for TSS, if you plan to hunt or shoot heavier than lead.
Just a note: the extended, ported tube is a modified choke, although it could be mistaken for an extended turkey choke because it is not marked on the choke anywhere.
We ran through a few boxes of 2¾ shells on the trap and skeet field, and the gun cycled seamlessly and busted targets. Weighing in at about 6 pounds, the gun was easy to shoulder and swing.

Transitioning to still shooting, we dropped in the provided full choke and patterned with some HEVI-Shot HEVI Bismuth 3-inch loads with a blended 4 and 5 shot. At 30 steps, we were consistently getting dense patterns with over 120 pellets in a 10-inch circle.

The compatibility of the Benelli-Mobil choke system on the S2 is a great opportunity for hunters and shooters to fine tune performance on the S2. But nonetheless, right out of the box, the provided full choke proved more than capable of harvesting turkeys. But again, the included extended ported choke is modified and should not be used for turkey hunting.
The pre-drilled-and-tapped receiver is a notable feature for turkey hunters, making it easy to mount a rail or low-profile red dot for improved precision. There is also a fiber-optic front sight coupled with middle bead that makes acquiring your target easy.
Overall, the gun has a nice finish, performed well in multiple scenarios, and it comes in at a price point that is hard to beat.
From breaking clays on the trap and skeet field to producing tight, effective patterns for turkey hunting, the S2 proves itself as a legitimate do-it-all scattergun, and coming in at $594, the camo-dipped S2 in 20 gauge is a great budget-friendly option for those looking for a new turkey gun.
