“My family and team at ALPS are incredibly humbled and honored to receive the Lynn Boykin Hunting Heritage Award,” said Dennis Brune, ALPS OutdoorZ founder and CEO. “Conservation and hunting heritage are values that we personally believe in, and those values influence how we run our family business. Being a partner with NWTF helps us in our journey towards making a difference. As the proud grandfather of nine grandchildren, things like conservation and hunting heritage continue to mean more to me, now more than ever. When I think about being raised on our family farm, and being taught lessons of conservation from my dad, it’s very important that I do my best to pass that along to the next generation.”

The Lynn Boykin Hunting Heritage Award’s namesake was a former president and chairperson of the NWTF’s National Board of Directors. During her tenure, she emphasized the importance of hunting heritage and helped create a new outlook for the organization.

ALPS OutdoorZ was awarded this recognition for their commitment to making the outdoors a space that is available and accessible to everyone. The brand is a family-owned and operated company that is deeply committed to habitat conservation and the preservation of our hunting heritage.

ALPS has proudly partnered with the NWTF since 2008. Notably, when the NWTF began emphasizing mentored hunting opportunities, ALPS was one of the original sponsors dedicated to supporting these initiatives. To date, ALPS has contributed over $800,000 to the NWTF’s mission, with more than $170,000 directed toward education and outreach programs over the past decade.

ALPS’ support goes far beyond financial contributions. Brune has personally volunteered at a state and national level and has participated in NWTF’s R3 (Recruitment, Retention, and Reactivation) training, reflecting his deep passion for passing on the hunting tradition. Under his leadership, ALPS continues to prioritize conservation, mentorship and the preservation of our outdoor lifestyle for generations to come.

“Partnering with ALPS OutdoorZ, a company that shares our vision for the future, allows us to achieve remarkable things, especially in the R3 realm,” NWTF co-CEO Kurt Dyroff said. “ALPS has contributed significantly to the NWTF’s efforts to engage new and diverse audiences with our outdoor traditions, which is something Lynn Boykin would be proud of.”
