And We’re Live!

Once again, NWTF members, conservationists, turkey hunters and outdoor enthusiasts from across the country gathered in Nashville, Tennessee, for one of the largest outdoor sport shows in the nation — and this year’s celebration is bigger than ever as the National Wild Turkey Federation celebrated its 50th Convention and Sport Show.

Thursday morning kicked off the milestone event with the grand opening of the sport show floor, where anticipation that had been building for months finally gave way to packed aisles, familiar faces and the unmistakable energy that only the NWTF convention can deliver.

Before the grand opening, attendees came together for a prayer led by Cuz Strickland, followed by the national anthem, opening remarks from USDA UndersecretaryDudley Hoskins and a message from NWTF co-CEOs Jason Burckhalter and Kurt Dyroff.

As the doors opened, attendees poured in to explore the show floor, reconnect with friends and partners and take in the sights and sounds of an event that has become a spring tradition for turkey hunters nationwide.

The annual NWTF Convention and Sport Show is often described as a family reunion — a place where members, volunteers, partners and dedicated turkey hunters come together to talk turkey, swap stories and celebrate the shared passions that unite them. With a focus on wild turkey conservation, the spirit of the American hunter, preserving outdoor traditions for future generations and improving wildlife habitat, there’s no better way to kick off the spring turkey season.

As the 50th anniversary celebration unfolds, attendees can look forward to a packed schedule throughout the week, including conservation and hunting seminars led by experts, live auctions supporting NWTF’s mission, live music performances and the chance to explore the latest gear and innovations from almost 500 exhibitors filling the show floor.

Additionally, this year’s convention also brings exclusive, limited-run merchandise and special NWTF membership promotions, giving attendees the opportunity to support wild turkey conservation while taking home one-of-a-kind gear only available during this historic event.

With four days of education, entertainment, camaraderie and conservation ahead, the grand opening set the tone for a week that honors the NWTF’s past while charging full speed into the future. The 50th NWTF Convention and Sport Show is officially underway, and Nashville is the place to be for anyone who lives for spring mornings, gobbling toms and the life-changing power of the outdoors.
