From the hardwood forests of the Northeast to the open country of the West, Conservation Week will spotlight different regions — Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Great Plains and the West — and explore how the NWTF is making a difference through habitat restoration, education and outreach, research and more!
“The NWTF’s mission to conserve the wild turkey and preserve our hunting heritage is a national effort with boots on the ground in communities across every region,” said Pete Muller, NWTF communications director. “This week is a celebration of our coast-to-coast impact, and we want everyone who loves wild turkeys, wild places and outdoor traditions to get inspired!”
Each day of Conservation Week will zoom in on one of America’s unique regions, highlighting the NWTF’s conservation efforts, research projects, hunting heritage success, wild-game recipes rooted in local flavor and regional turkey hunting tips and tactics.
Whether you're navigating the pines of the Southeast or glassing the prairies of the Great Plains, there's something for everyone to celebrate.
In addition, the NWTF is calling on its members and partners to show how they’re helping conserve wild turkeys and enhance natural resources in their region. Use #NWTFConservationWeek on your social channels to share your efforts.
Follow along all week at NWTF.org and across NWTF’s social platforms for a week of celebration, conservation and connection to the outdoors.
