Join the NWTF at SRP Park on April 30

In a nod to South Carolina’s official State Game Bird, the wild turkey, the Augusta GreenJackets have taken on the name "Los Pavos Salvajes de Augusta" for Minor League Baseball's season-long event series — "Copa de la Diversión™" or "Fun Cup™."

As a part of gameday promotions for "Los Pavos Salvajes de Augusta" games, players will sport uniforms embracing the colorful and distinctive ocellated wild turkey, and gameday festivities will showcase culture and cuisine of Hispanic communities.

The NWTF has partnered with the GreenJackets — the minor league affiliate of the Atlanta Braves — and will be on hand for "Los Pavos Salvajes de Augusta" games to discuss wild turkey research efforts, habitat conservation initiatives, education and outreach opportunities in the community and much more!

The Sunday, April 30 game time is set for 1:35 p.m., and gates open an hour prior to scheduled start times. The first 500 attendees will receive a co-branded "Los Pavos Salvajes de Augusta" and NWTF towel. Sunday's game is also Bark in the Park, Sahlen's Family Sunday and a day where youth can attend for free for participating in the GreenJackets' reading program.

If you cannot make the game this coming Sunday, the NWTF has partnered with the Augusta GreenJackets for subsequent "Los Pavos Salvajes de Augusta" games on Thursday, May 25 and Friday, June 10.
