He received a photo award from the Houston Safari Club Foundation in the professional category for a photo of wildlife biologist Britt Perry releasing a GPS-collared Eastern wild turkey in Louisiana.

This photo made the cover of Texas Fish & Game magazine’s March/April 2022 issue.

He also received multiple awards at the Texas Outdoor Writers Association “Excellence in Craft Awards,” including first place in wildlife photography for a photo of an Eastern wild turkey being released into Angelina County, Texas.

“It’s always great to be honored for your work, and, in these cases, it’s especially exciting to get recognized for my work on wild turkeys,” Moore said. “I've put hundreds of hours into turkey photography over the last four years to raise awareness to their conservation.

“It’s great to be able to use my platform to highlight work done by NWTF and agencies like the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and Louisiana State University.”

You can hear numerous turkey-centric episodes on Moore’s award-winning podcast, “Higher Calling Wildlife,” available on all major podcasting platforms.
