“APEX is proud to support the NWTF and its members who work tirelessly to ensure the conservation of wild turkeys, and the habitat in which they thrive, so future generations can enjoy the thrill and challenge of hunting this magnificent bird,” APEX Ammunition CEO Jason Lonsberry said. “We are passionate about turkey hunting and always look forward to the NWTF Convention. This year, we are expanding our Tungsten Super Shot offerings with the new Mossy Oak Greenleaf Turkey TSS Blend — a hard-hitting duplex load, available in 12- and 20-gauge, featuring a combination of No. 9 and No. 10 TSS that delivers a massive payload.”

APEX Ammunition — a veteran owned and operated company from Mississippi — is a first-time sponsor of the NWTF Convention, though they are no stranger to the event, attending numerous times as an exhibitor. As a Longbeard Sponsor, APEX is sponsoring the convention Kickoff Party as well as the Dog Trials, a newly added attraction in the Ryman Exhibit Hall.

“We are thrilled to welcome APEX as a first-time and Longbeard Sponsor for our convention,” said Natalia Daniels, NWTF national director of corporate relations and licensing. “They have committed to support NWTF throughout the year, and we are grateful for their meaningful partnership.”

The first event of the NWTF Convention and Sport Show, officially sponsored by Mossy Oak, is the Pub Crawl set for the evening of Wednesday, Feb. 15. Convention festivities officially open on Thursday, Feb. 16 with the rendezvous sessions, the evening’s Kickoff Party and the opening of the Sport Show floor, which features more than 450 of the best exhibitors in the outdoor industry. The NWTF Sport Show runs from Thursday to Saturday in the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. Convention festivities conclude with a worship service on Sunday, Feb. 19.

About the National Wild Turkey Federation

Since 1973, the National Wild Turkey Federation has invested over half a billion dollars into wildlife conservation and has conserved or enhanced over 22 million acres of critical wildlife habitat. The organization continues to drive wildlife conservation, forest resiliency and robust recreational opportunities throughout the U.S. by working across boundaries on a landscape scale.

2023 is the NWTF's 50th anniversary and an opportunity to propel the organization's mission into the future while honoring its rich history. For its 50th anniversary, the NWTF has set six ambitious goals: positively impact 1 million acres of wildlife habitat; raise $500,000 for wild turkey research; increase membership to 250,000 members; dedicate $1 million to education and outreach programs; raise $5 million to invest in technology and NWTF's people; and raise $5 million to build toward a $50 million endowment for the future. Learn how you can help us reach these lofty goals.
