“Receiving the Roger Latham Award from the NWTF National Board is one of the greatest honors of my involvement with this organization,” Boston said. “This award isn’t just a recognition of service — it represents the legacy of a man whose vision shaped the NWTF and whose commitment to conservation, leadership and integrity continues to guide us today. To have my name associated with that legacy is both humbling and deeply meaningful. This award reflects the collective effort of the people I’ve been fortunate to work alongside, including volunteers, board members, partners and friends who share a passion for conservation and for strengthening our hunting heritage. Nothing we accomplish is done alone, and I see this recognition as a testament to the dedication of the entire Pennsylvania team and the broader NWTF family.”

Boston added that this award reinforces his commitment to continue serving, leading and giving back to an organization that has given so much to him.

Boston, a Diamond Life Member of the NWTF, has been actively involved with the organization for more than two decades, contributing at both the state and national level. He joined the Pennsylvania NWTF State Chapter in 2016, where he served as vice president from 2019 to 2020 and led as the chapter president from 2020 to 2025.

During his presidency, the chapter experienced growth, increased engagement and strengthened partnerships across the state. Although his term has come to an end, he continues to serve on the state board with distinction, ensuring continuity and mentorship for the next generation of NWTF leaders.

From 2023 to 2025, Boston represented the Mid-Atlantic region on the NWTF President’s Advisory Council and now serves as Chairman of the President’s Council, overseeing all regions for the organization. He has also contributed to the Super Fund Committee, further demonstrating his commitment to conservation and organizational excellence.

Boston has previously been recognized with prestigious honors, including the Pennsylvania NWTF State Chapter David Wanless Award.

“Volunteers like Dave are the individuals who are furthering the mission of the NWTF,” NWTF co-CEO Jason Burckhalter said. “He is a stalwart leader and conservationist, and we are proud to recognize his immense contributions to our mission in Pennsylvania and beyond.”
