Public Lands in Public Hands Act Introduced

EDGEFIELD, SC — The National Wild Turkey Federation applauds the introduction of the Public Lands in Public Hands Act, a bipartisan bill that will secure federal lands for future generations of hunters, anglers and outdoor enthusiasts. This legislation, introduced by Rep. Ryan Zinke (R-MT) and Rep. Gabe Vasquez (D-NM), will ensure that federal public lands remain open and accessible for recreation, hunting and conservation.

As an organization dedicated to conserving wildlife habitats and promoting outdoor recreation, the NWTF recognizes the importance of this bill in safeguarding America’s public lands. By keeping these lands open and available to the public, the Public Lands in Public Hands Act will protect essential habitats for wildlife, including the wild turkey, while maintaining access to recreational opportunities enjoyed by millions of Americans every year.
