The Final Cut: Meet the 13 Turkey Callers Battling for the GNCC Senior Open Title

These are the 13 best turkey callers in the country, earning a spot in the GNCC Senior Open Finals Saturday 2-4 p.m.

  1. Dave Owens, Cedartown, GA (Prelim score: 462.5) The reigning champ gets a free pass to the finals and a free run in the prelims ahead of Saturday's finals. Chasing his third Senior Open title.
  2. Matt Van Cise, Brookville, PA (Prelim score: 480) The 9-time Open champ is back again and crushed his preliminary run.
  3. Jesse Martin, Mt. Sterling, KY (Prelim score: 467) Martin is a two-time Senior Open champ with multiple titles in Team and Head to Head divisions. He is no stranger to the finals. 
  4. Jon Waugh, Jackson, OH (Prelim score: 463.5) Waugh was fantastic on the stage, making his second finals appearance.
  5. Tyler Presley, Front Royal, VA (Prelim score: 461.5) The Presley brothers, separated by a half point (see No. 5), will be a force in the finals as usual.
  6. Matthew Presley, Front Royal, VA (Prelim score: 461) Like Tyler, Matthew is after his first Senior Open title, but they are back-to-back Team Air and Friction champs.
  7. Hunter Wallis, Greenfield, PA (Prelim score: 460) A mainstay in the Open finals, Wallis is after the Grand National trophy that has eluded him after winning multiple youth titles.
  8. Coedy Gipson, Greenbrier, AR (Prelim score: 460) Gipson is a multi-champion in Arkansas, but looks to prove it on the big stage.
  9. Jared Lowe, Gadsden, AL (Prelim score: 459.5) Lowe has come close at the Worlds and made a few GNCC Open finals, but this year could be his time.
  10. Josh Grossenbacher, Medina, OH (Prelim score: 459.5) A World champ and GNCC Head to Head champ with a long history of finals appearances returns for another shot at the crown.
  11. Joe Hill, Willisburg, KY (Prelim score: 456) Making his first finals appearance, Hill hopes to make his name known with a grand title.
  12. Nick Wilson, Canton, GA (Prelim score: 455.5) Wilson makes his first Senior Open finals appearance after only three years in Nashville.
  13. JR Lanham, Bunker, MO (Prelim score: 455) Lanham is chasing his first Grand National Open title after multiple finals appearances.
