Representatives from Winchester accepted the award during the NWTF’s 48th annual Convention and Sport Show, sponsored by Mossy Oak.

“Winchester has demonstrated its leadership in conservation for decades,” Winchester Ammunition President Brett Flaugher. “We were the first million-dollar sponsor of the NWTF and have remained committed to their mission. It’s an honor to be recognized by the NWTF with this award. The NWTF continues to be one of the most important conservation organizations in our country, and we will continue to support their efforts that positively impact wildlife and our hunting heritage.”

From significant contributions to the NWTF’s Winchester Ammunition Museum in Edgefield, South Carolina, to longstanding support of NWTF grassroots programs, Winchester has been a consistent supporter of the NWTF and a staunch advocate of its mission to conserve the wild turkey and preserve our hunting heritage.

Winchester goes above and beyond to collaborate with the NWTF to bolster the organization’s mission delivery. For example, to support the NWTF’s 50th Anniversary in 2023, Winchester launched its limited-edition Long Beard XR turkey shotgun load, featuring the NWTF. The commemorative ammunition celebrates the NWTF’s longstanding conservation mission.. Likewise, Winchester also held a Dream Hunt Sweepstakes where they gave away NWTF memberships to introduce more people to conservation.

With Winchester’s combined sponsorship support to date, the company has achieved NWTF’s Pinnacle Partner Level in the NWTF’s Corporate Conservation Circle. Additionally, with its philanthropic support, Winchester is a Conservation Leader major donor. In total, Winchester has provided over $2 million for the NWTF’s mission to date.

“Winchester is an ardent supporter of our mission to conserve the wild turkey and preserve our hunting heritage,” NWTF co-CEO Jason Burckhalter said. “Whether it is helping bring more people into the NWTF flock, supporting our education and outreach programs, or coming up with innovative ways to help raise funds for conservation, Winchester is a dedicated supporter. We are proud to present them with the 2024 Corporate Achievement Award.”
